(A vision for your design is a requirement before starting your project.)What do I need to have a custom website?
To be sure that your website looks absolutely great, there is necessary content that is required before the designer can start developing any custom website design (photos, text, etc). However, because we specialize in Strategy as well as Web Design, we will help you structure your content through a Website Workbook Strategy Session & Questionnaire.
If the client needs assistance with writing content after the Website Workbook Questionnaire has been completed, the client may hire one of our writers for an additional fee to write up content using information received from the client’s Website Workbook Questionnaire. The client understands that the designer is not responsible for content. Content is the responsibility of the client.
All photos must be professional. Please do not send screenshots that will need cropping/editing. Also, all final content must be prepared in one of our forms or a Word document (i.e; Microsoft word or google docs). Be sure to make sure that there are no grammatical errors before emailing to the designer. The designer is not responsible for grammar corrections.
I would like a custom website. What is the process?
- First, each client must schedule a Website Discovery Consultation to briefly discuss your goals and to see if we are a good fit. If we decide to move forward, upon completion of consultation your designer will send you a Package Proposal via email which includes our design expectations, an invoice, and your service contract.
- Once the contract has been signed and payment has been made, we’ll set up your own client portal with any of the forms and information needed for your project. (For example: If you’ve booked brand development, that would be a brand discovery questionnaire. If you’ve booked a website development, that would be a website workbook questionnaire, website copy, and photos.) It is very essential to answer all questions in the questionnaire in detail so the designer can be sure to create the layout you vision.
- Then you’ll receive a link to schedule your 1-hour Website Workbook Session. This is where we’ll explain the workbook and answer any questions regarding the received forms in your Client Portal prior to your Design Week.
Once your Website Workbook Session is complete, it’s time to schedule your Design Week and start your launch period! We’ll schedule a 9:00 AM (est) Strategy Session on the Monday of your Design Week. Any forms in your Client Portal will be due by 5pm (est) on the Friday prior to your Scheduled Design Week. If required information is not received by 5 PM (est), your design week will be rescheduled and a $300 rescheduling fee will apply. With that said, it’s very important that you select a week that will allow you enough time to submit the required information.
Following our goal strategy session, I’ll put together your customized timeline for the remainder of your Design Week + Launch Process. We will be working on a tight schedule, so it’s important that your availability is a little flexible and you’re prepared to make time to discuss your receivables during your scheduled design + launch week.
The turnaround time for each website is 4-8 business weeks once your website workbook has been completed and received.
